His first day on the Paramount Studios lot was special.
The most memorable moment was the first day on Paramount lot. I remember arriving an hour earlier. Jamie Snow and Krisha Bullock were in one of the casting offices, and they were about to start the auditions for my dad in the show. They had time to gave me a little tour. I got to ride around in the Nickelodeon golf cart to see the sets we would eventually be filming on. A little fun fact, “This Is Us” and “Grace and Frankie” film right next to us!
He would love to do a certain audition over again.
As an actor, my job is to do silly things and make them look believable. I had an audition for a Sigur Rós music video, and they asked me to pretend to swim. Then I was then faced with making it seem like I was swimming in a room where the only water in the room was the sweat beating down my face. So I proceeded to get on the ground and perform Olympic-style swimming. I was so into making it look like I was swimming that I forgot I was telling a story.
He’s got a handyman side to him.
My favorite object in my room is my bookshelf. I built it and designed it myself! Over the quarantine, I found a new passion for interior design. It seems as though the bookshelf is levitating and defying gravity. I finish it with matte black. It now holds some of my favorite books and plays!
He’s a Nicki fan.
I know the entire rap to “Itty Bitty Piggy” by Nicki Minaj. I remember when she was first breaking out in highschool. Everyone was showing me her wonder women futuristic album art. It felt like I was the only one who didn’t know about her. It was the first song I heard from her.
THIS song gets him pumped up:
Jay-Z and Kanye’s song – “I don’t even know what that means. No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative.” That song fully captures how I believe Kanye felt when he got a chance to work with Jay-Z, pure excitement!
