Hello Charli! Before we get to your new movie, tell us a little about yourself.

I’m Charli! I’m 16 years old and I do social media for fun, but behind the screen I’m a competitive dancer who loves hanging out with her friends and family.

Tell us about your new movie and your role in it?

StarDog and TurboCat is such a cute movie and I love the overall message. The main character is a dog named Buddy who is launched into space and ends up in a place where pets are not welcome. I play a little mouse named Tinker, who helps Buddy prove to humans why pets are special. My character Tinker is very shy, but also smart. She is often scared to voice her opinions at times, but she finds that when she does it can make a big difference. I was able to connect with my character really well because this is very like me.

What was the best part about working on it?

This was my first movie project and the first time I had ever done voice recording. I was nervous at first because I wasn’t sure how well I was going to do, but I was able to learn so much from others working on this movie. The best part about this process was how much fun it was trying something new.

And the biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge was yelling! I have such a soft voice, so at times it was really hard to project my voice and yell certain lines.

Why do you think kids are going to want to watch it?

I think both kids and adults will like this movie because it’s a super fun animated film about pets! Plus, this movie has such a cute storyline about the importance of teamwork and speaking up for yourself and your friends.

TikTok has led to many amazing things for you. Tell us a little about what attracted you to the platform in the first place and why you started?

TikTok was a great space for me to express myself on. I love the fact that I’m able to be creative and have a lot of fun, just by doing simple things that I enjoy!

Every kid dreams of being famous and being in show business. Now that you have some fame and accomplishments, how does it differ from the image or fantasy you had in your mind about it when you first started?

I don’t really consider myself to be famous! I guess the fun part in all of this is not knowing what to expect. I’m just very thankful for all of the fun and unexpected opportunities, like this movie!

What is your overall showbiz or career goal, and do you plan to go to college (and what will you study if “yes”)?

I think my end goal is to help as many people as I can – and to keep this mindset, so I can focus on being a positive person and the best role model that I can be. I love the idea of college, but I’m not sure what the future will bring (I could consider in two years or even later in life!). If I do go to college, I’d likely want to study business because I really enjoy that.

What do you love most about your sister? : )

I love how protective Dixie is of me. She is always ready to support me, no matter what.

What else are you working on or have coming up next?

I have a few projects I am so excited to announce in the next couple of months. I’m also really looking forward to getting back to dancing competitively.
