DATELINE: LOS ANGELES — If you want to see what holiday magic looks like, look no further than the BMO Stadium field this past weekend.

Trina’s Kids Foundation (TKF) celebrated its 12th Anniversary in massive style, bringing the World’s Largest Toy Drive to Los Angeles for a record-breaking day of giving. The event, which took place on December 13th, turned the home of LAFC and Angel City FC into a massive gift-giving arena.

The Stats Are Insane We aren’t talking about a few boxes of donations. To pull this off, organizers brought in six semi-trucks filled to the brim with toys. By the end of the event, more than 35,000 toys were distributed to families and children in need across Los Angeles.

The “3-Minute Dash” The highlight of the day was the “toy run.” Kids were given access to the professional soccer field and had exactly three minutes to run and grab as many toys as they could carry.

It was a scene of organized chaos and pure joy, with thousands of families cheering from the stands.

Breaking Records This event was part of a larger mission to break a Guinness World Record. Trina’s Kids Foundation previously set the record in 2022 for the most toys donated in one hour (8,335 toys!). This year, they aimed to shatter their own legacy with a 24-hour multi-city push.

Even after the families at the stadium had their fill, the giving didn’t stop. All remaining toys were packed up to be delivered directly to local charity organizations, shelters, orphanages, and children’s hospitals throughout the city.

The Tour Continues While the massive LA event has wrapped, the tour isn’t over. This is a 10-city nationwide tour. If you have friends or family in these cities, let them know the toy drive is coming their way:

  • 12/17: Salt Lake City
  • 12/18: Boston
  • 12/19: New Jersey
  • 12/21: American Dream Mall
  • 12/22: Miami Kaseya Center
