Benson Boone, Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato Surprise Fans at Caliwater Launch
Westfield Century City got a pop-culture surprise on Sunday, October 18: Benson Boone, Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato all appeared for Caliwater’s new Dragon Fruit flavor. The launch turned a product debut into an up-close fan moment—and put three familiar names in the same Los Angeles story.
Benson Boone brought fans into the launch
Boone helped hand out cans and stopped to greet and hug fans. Caliwater says more than 5,000 samples were distributed during the afternoon, with carts, street teams and an oversized bathtub installation making the activation hard to miss.

Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato joined the surprise lineup
Hudgens, Caliwater’s co-founder with Oliver Trevena, opened the event before Boone joined the crowd. Lovato made a separate appearance to close it out. Their presence connected the new Benson Boone flavor to Caliwater’s broader celebrity-collaboration story, including its Blood Orange flavor created with Lovato.

What’s behind Caliwater’s Dragon Fruit flavor?
The flavor, developed with Boone, expands Caliwater’s prickly-pear cactus-water lineup. The company says its drinks contain five naturally occurring electrolytes, antioxidants including betalains, and vitamins C and E, with no artificial sweeteners or additives. Trevena described Dragon Fruit as “bright, refreshing and really easy to drink.”
At Century City, the headline names drew attention—but the event’s real-time fan handoffs and thousands of samples gave people a chance to experience the new flavor for themselves.
