5 Fast Facts about actress Aaliyah Cinello of Circuit Breakers

Aaliyah Cinello is a fast-rising actor and singer from Toronto, Canada. Aaliyah began her career as a model at just three months old appearing in ad campaigns for
major brands including The Hudson’s Bay Company, Toys “R” Us, and OshKosh B’gosh. She also landed the cover of major national magazines including Today’s Parent and
Toronto Life.

Her first big break came in 2014 when she landed a role on the remake of the iconic superhero film RoboCop appearing alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names
including Joel Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish and Gary Oldman. Shortly after, Aaliyah was cast in the hit sci-fi series Warehouse 13 (Syfy).
Since then, Aaliyah has amassed a significant body of work in major film and television productions including Heroes Reborn (NBC), Saving Hope (CTV/NBC), 12 Monkeys (Syfy),
Make It Pop (Nickelodeon), Kim’s Convenience (CBC/Netflix), According to Kids (CBC), Odd Squad: Mobile Unit, and The Solutioneers (YouTube).

Aaliyah has also built an impressive resume as a voice-over actor for hit animation series including Rusty Rivets (Amazon Prime) and Mighty Express (Netflix), as well as
the popular video game series Far Cry 6 (Ubisoft).

Coming up next, Aaliyah is set to appear in the new highly-anticipated Apple TV+ series Circuit Breakers, a children’s anthology series that tackles kid-relatable issues through a sci-fi lens. The show is set to make its premiere on November 11th, 2022. Aaliyah plays the role of Charlotte aka Charley, a 12-year-old sensitive and smart kid who plays Olivia’s best friend. When Olivia expresses concern that her mom is acting weird after talking to a mysterious woman, Charley is curious but thinks it’s doubtful that the mysterious woman is Olivia’s biological mom. Nonetheless, Charley is anxious to investigate.

Aaliyah is also set to star in a new Netflix series making its premiere in 2023.

Her new series sounds epic!

Circuit Breakers is an Apple TV+ series which is a futuristic anthology that deals with mature themes where the plot is moved forward through child or teen actors. The show tackles children’s issues through a sci-fi lens. My character has a thirst for knowledge and is always looking for an adventure. She is smart, sensible, very grounded and very supportive.

I think people will love Circuit Breakers because of its engaging story line and relatable characters.

One of her most memorable showbiz moments:

One of my most memorable moments was when I worked on Queen of the Morning Calm and had to play a mean girl. It was super exciting to play someone like that. I also had to do some stunt work that was super fun!

She loves visual arts.

I love the arts. Especially, drawing. So much so, that I applied for my school’s arts and media program and got into the visual arts sector. 

Her plan B is a good one.

I would like to be a lawyer.  I’m not sure in which aspect of law I want to practice but, I do know that I want to be able to balance work and family.  I also feel that I can still be a lawyer as well as an actor.
