Inside the Coldplay x Meta Quest VIP Preview at Meta Lab LA

By Willie Pena • December 17, 2025

Last night, we stepped inside Meta Lab LA for a first look at one of the most unexpected collabs of the season: Coldplay x Meta Quest—and it was way more immersive than we expected.

Meta invited creators, influencers, and industry insiders into their newly expanded LA space to preview what Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres universe looks like in VR. Think less “watching a concert” and more actually being inside it.

What the Night Was Like

The event felt part concert, part tech demo, part hangout. Guests moved through different VR stations, testing upcoming Coldplay experiences while grabbing drinks, desserts, and small bites between headset sessions. There was a lot of casual networking, a lot of “wait—try this one,” and a lot of genuine surprise at how intense the immersion felt.

Meta had product specialists on hand helping everyone get set up, and yes—everyone actually got time to experience things properly, not just a rushed demo.

The Experiences We Previewed

🎤 Coldplay Horizon Concert
A full VR concert experience captured at Wembley Stadium, placing you inside Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour. You can create a custom avatar, explore the environment, and watch alongside other fans—without leaving your room.

⚡ Beat Saber x Coldplay
Coldplay tracks are coming to Beat Saber in a new environment inspired by the band’s live shows. It’s exactly what it sounds like: slicing beats to Coldplay songs while feeling like you’re inside a concert stage.

💪 Supernatural x Coldplay Workouts
A new workout series set to Coldplay’s music, blending boxing and flow-style workouts. It’s designed to feel more like moving through music than “doing a workout,” which honestly makes it way more appealing.

The Takeaway

This wasn’t just about a band partnering with a headset—it felt like a preview of where concerts, fitness, and social experiences are heading. Instead of watching from a screen, you’re stepping inside worlds built around the music.

Also worth noting: Meta Quest headsets are clearly leaning into being more than just gaming devices. Between concerts, workouts, and shared experiences, it’s obvious they’re trying to turn VR into something you casually use—not something you dust off once a month.

Why This Matters (Especially Right Now)

With the holidays coming up, experiences like this hit differently. Whether you’re into music, gaming, or fitness, the idea of doing things in VR—rather than just watching—feels like a real shift.

Coldplay’s full Meta Quest experiences roll out over the next couple of weeks, so this was very much a sneak peek. If this is the direction live music and immersive tech are moving in, we’re honestly curious to see what comes next.
