The Anthem of the Heart Opens November 1st in the US and Canada

Jun is a girl whose words have been sealed away. She was once a very happy girl, but because of a <certain thing> she said when she was very young, her family was torn apart.
One day, the egg fairy appeared in front of her and sealed away her ability to talk in order to stop her from hurting anybody else.
Since this traumatic experience, Jun lives in the shadows away from the limelight.
But, one day she is nominated to become an executive member of the “community outreach council.” On top of that, Jun is also appointed to play the main lead in their musical…

So reads the introduction for The Anthem of the Heart, a music-rich anime featuring the talents of Director Tatsuyuki Nagai, Screenplay Writer Mari Okada, and Character Designer Masayoshi Tanaka plus the voice talents of Inori Minase as lead Jun and Koki Uchiyama (Takumi), Sora Amamiya (Natsuki) and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Daiki).

The film is doing brisk business in Japan, earning more than 300 million yen (around $2.5 million US) in its first five days with a tally of 235,000 tickets sold, beating the opening figures for the smash Anohana. It is being distributed in North America by Eleven Arts, and opens in select theaters in the US and Canada on November 1st.
