Singer-songwriter and actress Megan Nicole has recently made the jump from teen idol to adulthood in a big way, with her getting married, buying her first home and even becoming a pet parent. These rapid changes left her a little overwhelmed and wishing she had a sort of handbook which was the inspiration for the concept of Adult(ed), a YouTube show where Megan and a guest tackle a new subject with the help of an expert on the topic.
From throwing a fancy dinner party and working out anywhere to figuring out taxes, Megan hopes viewers will learn something new and will leave each episode feeling confident about taking action to live a more positive life. Older teens will definitely find something of value as these are the things you wish you knew but weren’t taught in school!
Here’s 5 Fast Facts about Megan!
She wishes someone had told her just ONE thing about adulthood.
When it comes to the whole “adulting” thing, I really wish someone told me that it’s okay to not have it all together and that you will constantly be learning. In a lot of ways, just knowing that you don’t have to have the Pinterest-perfect house and know everything about everything takes a lot of the pressure off. We’re all figuring it out together.
Besides her show, she is still working on tracks.
I’ve been working a lot on new music! I’ve been really excited about the things I’m working on right now.
Her best showbiz moment was meeting someone who introduced her to her future husband–awww!
There have been a lot of moments that meant a lot to me, from living out my childhood dreams of being on Disney Channel when I performed at an RDMA pre-show, to interviewing Michelle Obama, to performing for 20,000 people. But, funny enough a little music video that I did for a song of mine called “Safe With Me” meant the most. Through that music video I met someone who introduced me to my husband Cooper!
Though she seems to have it all together–she suffers from anxiety.
Something people might be surprised to know about me is that even though I love to be positive, I’ve had some hard moments with anxiety. I think it’s really great that the conversation has opened up more around this topic. It’s so important to be able to have discussions on it and know you aren’t alone!
She likes to drink something pretty weird.
Coffee lemonade! I know it’s sounds bizarre, but it’s so yummy.
